Guildford Chambers was established in 1976 as a small annexe of a London set, in the belief that solicitors in the area would welcome the service available from a local chambers. That expectation was amply justified and since 1981 we have been completely independent.

Sponsored Walk: On Monday 19th May, Members of Guildford Chambers will be participating on the first Surrey Legal Sponsored Walk to raise money for the Surrey Law Centre.  The Center provides exclusively publicly funded advice and representation in the areas of community care and housing in Surrey and one of a dwindling number of practices offereing publicly funded family help.  The Centre needs financial support. Please help by sponsoring one of our walkers in wigs or participate in the walk yourself.

Location

We are situated in Guildford town centre close to the Crown Court and County Court buildings. Guildford Crown Court is the designated trial centre for serious fraud and television link cases. Guildford County Court is a trial centre for care proceedings and both the nominated judge and designated family judge are based there. 

 

 

 

 

 

Congratulations to Simon Oliver having been appointed salaried Deputy President of The Care Standards Tribunal, with effect from 1st October 2007, after a very successful career at the Bar, and playing an integral part of Guildford Chambers as our Head of Chambers.
